God has been constantly teaching me to let go of control. I like to have things planned out, organized, and in order. I like to blame it on being a girl, but really it is my selfish sinful self coming out. God has been trying to refine me. After all, He is really in control not me. Praise the Lord!
We have had some quick changes take place...good but quick. So we have been trying to find out how to get to Murfreesboro to start this church. We committed to this church planting team sometime back in December not because Anthony would have a position or job with the church but because we felt God leading us to Murfreesboro to share Christ with others. Well Anthony has been working hard applying and searching out possible job opportunities so that we would have some sort of salary to live on. He made his second trip to the Boro to try to find a job a couple weeks back. God was faithful to provide a wonderful job. Anthony flew in to Nashville on a Tuesday and had an interview with Bridgestone for the position of a credit manager that day. Well the interview went well and they offered him the job by that evening. Meanwhile he cancelled the rest of his interviews for Wednesday and went out hunting for a place for us to live instead. He found a nice apartment complex and signed the lease. He called his current boss at East Wake Furniture Co. and gave him his 2-weeks notice. We were going to be moving very quickly. Meanwhile I spoke with my principal and got it okayed for me to miss the 3 teacher workdays following the student's last day. I began packing the house up (with help of course since I was 36 weeks pregnant at the time). And I was on my way to Murfreesboro a week after Anthony's interview. Anthony arrived 5 days later. Our pods arrived a few days later with all of our stuff packed away and we unloaded and unpacked our stuff into our new apartment. It has been a whirlwind, but we were able to rest in the fact that God is in control.
Anthony started his job at Bridgestone this week and loves it. It seems like a great company to work for. I found an OB doctor here in Murfreesboro and haven't missed any appointments. We toured the hospital that Amos will be born in and love it. Now we are just waiting on little Amos to arrive. I can't believe that I am already 39 weeks! The pregnancy has zoomed by. His due date is July 7th, but we know he will come when he is ready.
