While we were in Murfreesboro so Anthony could job hunt, the Nashville folks threw me a baby shower. Anthony's mom and Memaw even got to come. It was wonderful to be able to catch up and see everyone. I can't wait until we are all living close by again...only a matter of time. Here are a few pictures from the shower (I wish I had gotten some photos of the cute decorations and all the ladies present):

Boro Update
As some of you may know last week, April 28th-May 1, Stephanie and I were in Murfreesboro, TN looking for places to live, and for me a job. It was a rather eventful trip. I had four job interviews and we looked at houses and apartments. Stephanie also had a baby shower (post to come). My job interviews all went well I suppose. We are just waiting to see what opportunity God gives us.
From what I could see the best thing for our family/church plant would be if I could get the job that I applied for to the Bank of Nashville. That is how I see it, but I know God's plans are better than what I can think of on my own. But that is what we are praying for on that front.
We found some promising places to live. There is one particular neighborhood we would love to buy a house in when we get the opportunity. We also found some apartments to rent when we move until we figure out where we will be permanently.
Here is a link to our church plant. You can pray for our team as most of them are going through the same transition pains that we are.

Our First Baby Shower
Some wonderful ladies at my school threw us our first baby shower this past Wednesday. They worked really hard and it looked great. We received some really cute gifts and several gift cards. A bunch of the ladies got together and purchased our pack 'n play! We are so grateful for their love and support. I will definitely miss all of them!
Here are a few shots from the shower:
Ms. Kearney made this blanket out of a little book!

This is the only shower Anthony will get to come to:)

3 Years
On March 15 we celebrated our 3rd Anniversary. This will be the last anniversary we will have as a family of only two. To celebrate we went to the Melting Pot Restaurant this was another first for the both of us. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend it for a special occasion (It's pricey).
We took some pictures. Look how excited we look.
Our first course: cheddar cheese fondu and lots of yummy things to dip
Our main course: duck, chicken, filet, sirloin, ravioli, shrimp & tons of delicious sauces to dip them in
Dessert: Chocolate and peanut butter fondu and sweet things to dip
Our last anniversary as a family of two

It's a BOY!!!
Our Valentine's celebration: Surprise! We are having a boy! We went in for the ultrasound at 19 weeks. It was amazing to be able to see our little one again and hear his little heartbeat. They measured and checked out everything and said he looks healthy. His legs were wide open so it was easy to see that we had a boy growing inside of me. The ultrasound tech said that she could tell us with 100% certainty that it was a boy. Anthony thought it was a girl from the beginning. He is usually a good guesser, but this time he was wrong. If only we had some boy names picked out. I guess that will take some time.
I can't believe that we have one more week until we are half-way through the pregnancy! It has flown by so quickly. The most amazing thing is being able to feel him move around inside of me. He moves around like crazy, especially after I have a meal or a cold glass of water. He moves around when he hears music or when I am reading. It is the craziest thing that God is putting together this child inside of me...definitely awe-inspiring. I can't wait until Anthony can feel him too!
After our doctors appointment, we celebrated our Valentine's Day by going out to eat at Khanki (a Japanese steakhouse, one of my favorite types of places). Yummy!

Testimony
Yesterday in one of my classes we were talking about sharing testimonies in personal evangelism. At the beginning of this time I found myself feeling particularly inadequate because I felt that I did not have a particularly compelling testimony. I never did drugs, was not sexually promiscuous, and I grew up in a great home where both my parents loved each other and have been married for over 30 years. But most importantly they loved God and my sister and me.
I came to Christ as a result of my family’s involvement in church. At a young age I was convicted of my sin and repented putting my trust in Jesus Christ to serve as the bearer of the punishment that I deserved. Many would look at my life and find little wrong with it but I was in opposition to God and without Christ still would be, without the death of Jesus Christ. Christ is the only thing that makes me better. My heart left to it’s own desires, is just as bad as the worst murderer or sexual deviant. But, Christ makes the difference in my life. He clothes me in His righteousness so that I can relate to God. He also invokes change into my life, as I grow closer to him.
My realization of this may not have been possible without the faithfulness of my parents to God and their desire to raise children who loved him. I am thankful that they raised me in light of Deuteronomy 6. That is the desire of Stephanie and me. We want to raise a child who fears and loves God long after he or she leaves our household. Pray along with us that God will work in the life of our child.
Due to popular demand I am enclosing a picture of Stephanie's baby bump. This is one of her at 18 weeks.

Is it a Boy or Girl?
On Thursday we go to the doctor. They should be able to determine the gender of our little one. What do you think? Is our baby a boy or girl?
